Pretty much packed, and the rucksack has just weighed in at 4 Kgs, with everything I want to take, which is a result. It is far from full, but I need to resist the temptation to put more things in.

At the 11th hour I have also found how to switch 'comments' on, so please feel free to do so. You will find the opportunity at the bottom of each page.

Finally, just before I set off, I would like to thank everyone who has supported me in all respects over the last few weeks. Lots of kindness and generosity means that my fundraising total stands at just under £6,000.00, which is brilliant  Hopefully I can add some more while I am walking. If you are reading this, please share the link with whoever else you think may be interested.

I would also like to thank everyone for their good wishes for my journey. I have included a picture of one of the walking poems Mairi sent me, and the shell from Morsten beach that Fiona gave me at Sunday's service.  I hope I can deliver it to Santiago in one piece.
